In a fresh collaboration paper lead by Vigdis Vandvik, University of Bergen (see UiB news), we demonstrate that biotic terms to a large degree explain variation in community turnover in replicated climate change experiments along temperature and precipitation gradients.

GEco's Anders Bryn is among the co-authors of a new paper out in Nature Climate Change: Complexity revealed in the greening of the Arctic. Isla H. Myers-Smith and Jeffrey T. Kerby are the lead authors of the paper.

A new PhD fellow in GEco - Eva L. Eriksen - will be working on dynamic ecological modelling.  The PhD project will focus on the spatial dynamics of plants in relation to climate change, as a part of GEco’s collaboration with the LATICE network and the recently funded EMERALD and INCLINE projects. Professor Olav Skarpaas is the main supervisor.
