Fire Prevention at NHM

Training

All employees at NHM must undergo training in fire prevention within one week of joining, cf. UiO's procedure for fire prevention training.

Fire prevention training is an important part of the HSE work at NHM to ensure that no fire or explosion occurs, and avoid personal injury or the loss of large material values due to fire. NHM manages large collections, and many valuable objects and cultural-historical buildings that must also not be damaged by fire.

NHM is required by the Fire and Rescue Service to document fire safety training for all users of our buildings.
