Academic interests

My research focuses on using environmental DNA (eDNA) techniques to study zoology in freshwater and marine environments. I'm particularly interested in improving these methods to better understand biodiversity in these environments and to contribute with practical insights to biodiversity conservation and sustainable management practices within the field of zoology.

Background

Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Federal do Pará (UFPA), Brazil. Studied at Macquarie University (Australia) as a CAPES scholarship abroad for the Science without Borders Program. Master in Biodiversity and Evolution from the Postgraduate Program at Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, with an emphasis on Systematics and Evolution of Organisms. Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in the Postgraduate Program in Aquatic Ecology and Fisheries at UFPA and in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Program at the University of Oslo, working mainly in environmental DNA.
