Scientific interests
I'm interested in understanding the interconnected fields of taxonomy and biodiversity analysis. This I believe to be the key in properly protecting and managing biodiversity for the future generations to use and enjoy. I use phylogenetics, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics, geographical information systems (GIS) and distribution modeling to address challenging and difficult questions in these fields. I am interested in a broad spectrum of species; from vascular plants to vertebrates.
