Academic interests
I am interested in sexual selection and evolutionary processes, such as avian spermatozoa evolution. My research focuses on gaining a better understanding of the underlying genomic architecture of sperm midpiece morphology. I work primarily on the avian order Passeriformes, using quantitative and molecular genomics and transcriptomics.
Background
I got a Master's degree in Biodiversity and Systematics at The University of Gothenburg, Sweden. As a Master's student I developed an interest in birds, evolution, genomics and bioinformatics. For my Master's thesis, I worked on a population genomics study of Lesser Whitethroats.
