Tønsberg is located 100 km south of Oslo at the mouth of the Oslo fjord in south Norway. The city can be reached by train, bus, and airplane.
The closest international airports are Oslo Gardermoen (140 km north of Tønsberg) and Torp Sandefjord (20 km southwest of Tønsberg). From Oslo Gardermoen trains go every 30 minutes to Tønsberg (1 hour and 40 minutes travel time). From Torp Sandefjord airport a shuttle bus goes to the nearest railway station. The train takes 15 minutes to Tønsberg. It is 5- to 15-minute walk from the Tønsberg railway station to the hotels in down town.
