GEco seminar: The Community Terrestrial Systems model and FATES vegetation

Peter and Eva have been to NCAR in Boulder, Colorado to learn about the Community Terrestrial Systems Model (CTSM) and its new vegetation module, the Functionally Assembled Terrestrial Ecosystem Simulator (FATES). Eva will introduce the models, and Peter will talk about his experience using FATES.

Are you curious about what an Earth Systems Model is? Did you miss Peter the past two months? Do you want to know how vegetation is represented in a complex model used to predict climate change? Come to this seminar to find out.

After visiting the U.S. National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Peter and Eva are a little bit less confused by all the code in the Community Terrestrial Systems Model. In this seminar, they will introduce you to the CTSM and its new vegetation module, FATES.
