BioDT task 4.3 projects partners attended the regional GBIF Europe and Central Asia nodes meeting in Warsaw 15th to the 17th of May [url]. Followed by this project task kickoff 17th to the 18th of May.

This meeting was to open a dialogue about RI networks, their integration, interoperability, and coordination to facilitate and support BioDT research and products. Interoperability, accessibility, and the continued existence of a reliable RI landscape are of paramount importance to big data biodiversity research. BioDT task 4.3 aims to ensure these characteristics are met by the European RI landscape. To do so, BioDT task 4.3. focuses on (1) awareness building for novel data streams, (2) expertise and metadata generation for improved interoperability, (3) guideline recommendations and reporting on successful RI governance models, and (4) proposals for improved RI interactions within and across national governance structures.
