The first Tangled Bank seminar of the academic year will be given by Dr Mario Vellejo-Marin from the University of Stirling. 

The candidate for the Associate Professor in Ethnobotany will give a  trial lecture on the title “Jumping the fence - Collaboration across disciplines and museum sections to study human-plant interactions”.

Doctoral Candidate Marcel Polling at the Natural History Museum will be defending the dissertation "The hidden biodiversity of pollen" for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.

Doctoral Candidate Trond Simensen  at the Natural History Museum will be defending the thesis "Mapping and analysis of landscape diversity." for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.

This seminar will be given by Professor Matthias Glaubrecht from the Hamburg Natural History Museum and the Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change. He will discuss the biodiversity crisis debate.

Doctoral Candidate Hanna Rosa Hjalmarsdottir  at the Natural History Museum will be defending the thesis "New insight into the Taxonomy, Biostratigraphy, and Paleoecology of Jurassic – Cretaceous Arctic foraminifera." for the degree of Philosophiae Doctor.
