One of the main topics of this year’s GEco retreat to Drøbak was data publishing. In relation to that, we held a session on publishing species occurrence data via the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). During this session, Rune Halvorsen published his data of the forest floor species composition from Solhomfjell between 1988-2018. Others in our group have also been active with data publishing recently. In November last year, Eva Lieungh published presence/absence data of 49 vascular plant species from Gressholmen in the Oslo fjord.
The retreat finished with a refreshing bath in the Oslo fjord!
